1. What is the initial franchise fee for a Gmask single unit franchise?

The initial franchise fee for a Gmask single unit is US$28,000 for a period of 10 years. Proceeds from the initial franchise fees go into our general fund and in part, compensate us for the lost or deferred opportunity to franchise others, and in part are used to pay or defray some of the costs we may incur as a result of:
(1) Screening and approving prospective franchisees;
(2) Providing advice and assistance to franchisees;
(3) Incurring legal fees, accounting fees, and other costs to comply with the federal and state laws governing this offering;
(4) Developing, registering, and protecting the Proprietary Marks;
(5) Prior research and development relating to the System;
(6) Prior development of our training programs;
(7) Delivering the initial franchisee training; and
(8) Marketing and general administrative expenses

 

2. What is the total cost of initial investment for a Gmask single unit franchise?

The total investment necessary to begin operation for a Gmask single unit franchised business is from US$72,500 to US$104,500. Initial investment includes initial franchise fees, equipment fees, pre-opening and initial advertising and marketing, travel expenses for training, initial supply order, insurance and license requirement and professional services, leases and deposits, and additional working capital for three months.

 

3. What is the royalty fee? Is there any other fee?

Royalty fee is 7% of gross sales or minimum US$1,200 (whichever is higher) per month. There is another fee of 1% gross sales for advertising contribution per month.

 

4. Is there any performance benchmark for a typical single unit Gmask franchise? Will there be any breakeven analysis for computation of future income earnings?

We are restricted by the Federal Trade Commission and various state and country franchise sales regulations from providing you with specific profit projections. However, we are able to disclose that our franchisees will enjoy a gross profit margin of 80% to 90% from proposed retail price.

 

5. What is the duration of the training period before I can start the franchised business? What is covered in the training program?

There are two types of training, one for franchise owners (up to 2 people per session) and the other one for wrappers (up to 6 people per session). Franchise owners require 6 days of management training, with an addition of 2 days fundamental wrapping techniques. Wrappers require 7 days of training, primarily focused on wrapping techniques and customer service.

 

6. How long does it take for me to open and start the unit?

Each location is different, depending on a variety of factors, including site selection, build-out requirements and training. However, it typically takes approximately 4-8 weeks from signing the franchise agreement to opening day at your first Gmask unit.

 

7. Are franchisees allowed to relocate their Gmask kiosk?

Approval of relocation will be determined on a case-to-case basis.

 

8. Does Gmask offers financing?

No. Gmask can direct potential franchisees to sources that have provided financing options to other franchisees in the area of SBA loans.
